Phone screen repair time
Most cracked phone screens are a same day job, and a large share of them are finished inside an hour. The display comes off as one assembly, and the bench work on a modern handset is short. The adhesive is warmed, the panel is lifted, the shield plate and the ribbon connectors are moved across to the new part, and touch, the front camera and the face sensors are tested before the frame closes again. Labor is not usually what sets the clock. 2 other things set it: whether the exact panel for your model is on the shelf, and how many devices are already ahead of yours on the bench.
Those are the numbers behind what we publish on our same day phone repair page. Screens, batteries and charging port cleanings usually go out the same day and often within the hour. Deep diagnostics run 1 to 3 business days. Board-level micro-soldering runs 3 to 7 business days. A screen complaint is either a panel swap, a fault that has to be found first, or a repair on the board underneath the panel, and nearly every screen that reaches the counter in Broken Arrow lands in one of those 3 bands.
Tablet and laptop screen time
Plan on 1 to 3 business days for either one. An iPad screen is bonded to the frame with thick adhesive and the digitizer is over the display. The glass comes out in controlled sections with the battery and the flex cables protected, and the fresh adhesive needs hours to cure before the tablet is safe to carry. That cure time cannot be compressed. Tablet screen repair is quoted as a multi-day job even when the part is here. One model year can ship with several panel part numbers depending on resolution and touch. Laptop panels fit faster but source slower. We match the panel to your serial number before ordering, and laptop screen work adds a day at the front and saves a second trip at the end.
A black screen with no crack
That is a different job with a different clock. Sometimes the panel has failed on its own or a display connector has worked loose, and that is still same day work. Often the display itself is fine and the fault is on the mainboard, such as a shorted display line, a damaged backlight circuit, or a power rail that never comes up. Finding which of those it is takes a deep diagnostic at $25 to $50, with an answer in 1 to 3 business days. A board is stripped, reworked under the microscope, rebuilt, and then run for a stretch to prove the repair held. Board-level micro-soldering runs 3 to 7 business days.
Delays past the first hour
3 findings account for most of it. The first is stock. The panel for your model is not always on the shelf, and that happens most on a phone released in the last few months and on older models that have left volume production. The second is a bent frame from a corner drop or from weight on the phone in a back pocket. A new panel will not seat flat or seal against a frame that is out of true, and the frame is trued first or the job is quoted again. The third is liquid history we find on opening. Corrosion around the display connector or a swollen battery has to be cleaned up before a new panel goes on. Fitting a screen over active corrosion only buys a second failure.
Sending your model ahead
Send the make, the model and what the screen is doing through the quote form, and we check stock against that model while the phone is still at home. Where the panel is here, it is set aside under your name. Where it is not, it is ordered the same day. That single step turns a 2-visit repair into one visit, and it is the habit our Tulsa customers pick up fastest. Walk-ins and booked visits
Both work, and they suit different days. A walk-in fits a current mainstream model when you can leave the phone with us and the exact hour does not matter. Booking fits the days when you need the phone back by a set time, when the model is unusual, or when you are driving in from Owasso or Sapulpa and want the part confirmed before you set off. Either way the figure is agreed before anything is opened, and every screen replacement here carries our lifetime screen warranty. The panel you leave with stays covered for as long as you own the phone.
Same day at a shop that closes at 7pm
Same day means the repair leaves the bench on the day it arrives, inside the hours we are open, which are 10am to 7pm Monday through Friday and 12pm to 6pm on Saturday, with Sunday closed. A phone handed over at 11am on a Tuesday with the part in stock is normally back in your pocket before lunch. A phone handed over at 6:30pm on a Friday is different. Half an hour is left on the clock, and a panel that has to be ordered cannot arrive before Saturday noon. Which of those applies is settled while the phone is still in your hand.
